Hello, welcome to the Parish Nurse page. I am delighted you have stopped by. What happens when you embed a nurse in a downtown neighbourhood? In the past, it was common to have 'Parish Nurses' whose flexibility served the needs of people within the catchment area of the church. Our pilot project will empower All Saints' through our Parish Nurse to build capacity for two key demographics in our neighbourhood: aging seniors in transition, and marginalized people struggling to equitably access life-saving treatment.
Our Parish Nurse Program has three phases:
1. Senior Competencies for Faith Leaders
2. Mobile Wound Care
3. Volunteer Hospital Advocacy
