Youth and Family Ministry – Why We Do it, and How We do it
Youth and Family Ministry is an essential part of any church community. Walking alongside children, youth, and families together on their journey reflects an understanding that faith development doesn’t only happen inside the church, but it involves the whole church family. Youth and Family Ministry is based on three key pillars; leading young people and their families to a deeper connection with God, with one another, and with safe and supportive adults in the parish community. We support young people and their families by meeting their needs, and providing opportunities for discipleship, formation and loving relationships! This takes shape in many ways: fun Day Camps, Youth Group events, Children’s Focus Sundays, music programming, Bible study, neighbourhood outreach, and cheering kids on at their performances and sports. We also provide parents and caregivers with resources to support a life of faith at home through meaningful conversations and seasonal at-home discipleship kits, complete with exciting crafts and treats.
